Can Pokemon cards be professionally cleaned?
Yes, some surface dirt, fingerprints, grime and handling residue can often be carefully reduced. The safest approach depends on the card's age, finish and condition, so we assess each Pokemon card individually before recommending treatment.
What can Pokemon card cleaning remove?
Card cleaning may improve removable surface dirt, dust, fingerprints and some types of residue. Staining, ink loss, scratches, print damage and changes within the card material are different problems and may not be removable through cleaning alone.
Can you clean vintage Pokemon cards?
Yes. Vintage Pokemon cards are a common part of our work, but older cards can require an especially cautious approach. We first look at the printed surface, edges, existing wear and the type of contamination before advising what may be possible.
Is TCG card cleaning safe?
No treatment is appropriate for every card. We use a card-by-card assessment and only recommend cleaning or restoration where we believe the treatment is suitable. The goal is careful presentation improvement, not aggressive alteration.
Can card cleaning remove stains?
It depends on the stain and whether it sits on the surface or has penetrated the card stock or print layer. Some marks may improve, while others are permanent. Photographs allow us to give an initial opinion before the card is sent.
Will cleaning a Pokemon card increase its grade?
We do not promise a grading increase. Professional card cleaning and restoration can improve presentation in suitable cases, but grading companies have their own standards and may treat cleaned or restored cards differently. Our focus is the condition and appearance of the card itself.
